Bought it, got it, & hooked it up to the kids’ TV. HUGE improvement! Great voice clarification for shows, good bass response (no subwoofer) for its size, & it sounds very good with music. Have not tried ATMOS source yet, but the algorithms for room acoustics aren’t out of date at all.
Definitely a BIG upgrade for $169! Impressed!
Does this have hdmi eArc?
I’m thinking of using this as a Bluetooth speaker in my office. Is there any reason it might not work for that application?
I don’t have this particular soundbar but I use the one hooked up to my TV as a Bluetooth speaker for my phone pretty often. Did it just this morning, in fact.

Yes it does! I just hooked up HDMI eArc on my LG C3 and it works perfectly fine.
I just got mine today, it’s in pristine condition, came in the box with Bose logo on it, with all the cables including HDMI and optical cables. The setup was breeze and I used Bose app to pair to it to explore additional features/options like the bass, highs, mids and etc. The “Dialogue mode” is perfect and enhances voices volume.
My LG C3 has decent speakers, but this soundbar adds the clarity and immersive sound. I haven’t tried Atmos yet but will try it next! It’s definitely worth this price and I’m enjoying this soundbar, it really improves the sound quality!
EDIT: It’s impossible to get this quality sound for this price. I live in an apartment so I don’t want the fartiest of the low range anyway. Yes, even hip hop and EDM aren’t bad through it. Just remember to disable HDMI-CEC in the app to avoid software conflicts and you should be good to go.

What type of problems are you referring to?
Refurb box.
Lots of ARC and eARC peripherals have software conflicts because they don’t configure CEC the same way. This can result in your TV and soundbar not turning on with the same remote as planned or even the soundbar not playing sound from the TV despite it receiving a signal and the TV sending a signal to it.
Does the Bose 550 comes with dual voltage 100-240v?
Can this be used with bluetooth for a laptop or would that be overkill?
It can be used like any Bluetooth speaker. Whether it’s overkill is up to you. I’m sure it would sound a lot better than your laptop’s built-in speakers.
Looking for good fidelity at lower volumes for both speach & music.
