I had these speakers about 4 years ago with my old computer. No thanks…why can’t I find something to Woot!!

Got these free with my Gateway Computer I purchased in 1999. Not bad for computer speakers, but could be better.
i use this as my ‘work’ speaker system… sounds good for the price.

Those look like the same speakers that came with my Grandma’s 1998 Gateway!
It may not be the Bag of Crap that we’ve all been waiting for but it’s a good woot.
I’ve had a pair of these since 1998 that came with a high-end Gateway computer that I bought and they’ve followed me until this day with my current system. Excellent sound, great power (turning them to about 1/3 power is loud enough to fill a moderate sized room when playing a DVD, half is almost too loud, but still pretty much no distortion) and they look quite nice. The satellite speaker legs are a little flimsy but still not bad at all.
And for $17.00, it’s so worth it. I don’t even need them but I had to jump on having a backup pair in case my current ones die on me. I highly recommend these for everyone.
Lacking good specs, however for $17.99 it’s a good deal for the kids room.
