I often think about visiting Woot.
My visit, however, would either result in security throwing me out + a lifetime ban from the forums, or the place exploding + a lifetime ban from the forums.
Personally, however, I feel that visiting the Seattle HQ is a safer bet, and might not end up in a lifetime forum ban.
Kinda like my tour of Blue Bell ice cream. We were told multiple times VERY STERNLY no recording no photos no video no nothing.
Then we toured NASA with my brother’s friend. He showed us the section from one of the Apollo missions where the astronauts slept. I asked if I might take a picture of it since it’s a Very Important Event for me. He said, “You can take pictures of anything I show you!”
So NASA, yes; ice cream, no.

Actually, our taxes paid for space flight. So technically, we all own it. Just like military equipment.
Personally, I want to own my part of those, with a moon rock from 11 and an F-15 Fighting Eagle. I’m sure Executive Airport can handle one of those…

I was in town for work…like literally my hotel was 8 minutes away. The one direct flight I could get was at 6 am and got me there about 6 hours early so it worked out well. Karris and @manlapig were excellent hosts. I even got to build some B0Cs with Dante! I did miss @ThunderThighs though, who was in Seattle for (another) @davejlives intervention. Perhaps when travel is a thing again I’ll m̶a̶n̶u̶f̶a̶c̶t̶u̶r̶e̶r̶ ̶a̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶t̶o̶ have a work thing in Seattle.

Hence my confusion.
I’m not sure. I mean, my hunt for BOCs is like my marriage. So full of promise, yet ultimately lacking. Being additionally disappointed with BOC by direct link… I’m not sure how I’d feel about that. But, much like BOCs themselves, I’m fairly certain the offer of such a link is also not real, so what would it matter?

I’ve noted that the estimated date of arrival for this BOC is May 11. It must be one huge box of disappointment to take almost two weeks to be delivered!
Actually getting it is far worse than the wait.
