What is the finish material? Is it stainless steel?

We have this toaster oven and use it nearly every day- it’s a workhorse that we’ve been using for about 4-5 years now. It’s survived 2 moves. Very well made, the heat is very consistent. The one downside to this unit- if you spill stuff (grilled cheese drips, I’m looking at you) it can be pretty tough to clean.

It’s slightly faster than heating up the big oven, doesn’t heat up the kitchen as much. Gets used 4-5x per week. I love it for holidays, it gives me an extra oven to work with, though it wont hold anything too large. It is a bit of a space hog, though, so i would recommend getting the wood cutting board to deflect heat so you can set things on top without causing a fire.

Had the previous top model for several years and replaced it with this model a year ago. This is a significant improvement over the older model with additional function, much quieter fan, better heating, and I love the addition of the oven light. I use it daily for everything from toasting an english muffin for my breakfast to baking, roasting, and even reheating pizza. And it does everything so well that the only time I use my range (convection) oven is when I need the extra capacity to supplement the Breville. Though a little pricey, I also recommend having the Breville cutting board on the top of the oven. 5 stars.

We’ve had this unit for around 8 yrs now and we love it. Since there’s only two of us, we use it several times a day, for toasting, heating and cooking. The only time we use the wall oven is when we have a family gathering.

Made like a tank!

Sure sounds like you bought a new one and not reconditioned unit like is being sold here.

Your comments should be about these items not something you bought at Williams-Sonoma.

I have one of these new and I bought one reconditioned for my brother both have performed perfectly for several years

Damn, a month after I got a new one from the mothership. I like this (toaster) oven a lot, and this is a very good price. If the timing were better, I would have been in for one.

I bought the reconditioned one about 5 years ago, not sure if it’s the exact same model number, but it looks exactly like this one. Anyway it looked brand new out of the box and has worked great, until about 6 months ago. It’s a minor issue where I have to push the start button 2 to 3 times for it to actually start. It seems to only happen on the Toast function. I’m going to get another one today, if it hasn’t sold out by the time I finish this reply.

I’ve owned this model for something like seven years now and it’s one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve ever made. It’s extremely versatile, well designed, easily cleaned, and effective. I originally bought it because I was living in a converted basement without a full kitchen, but even now that I have a full-size oven I often prefer using this oven for things like frozen pizzas, smaller casseroles, etc because it heats more evenly, gives off less waste heat, is quicker to preheat and turns off automatically when it’s done. I paid about $80 more than this so IMO this is a steal.

That start button thing happens with ours, though with us, it’s on all setings! It’s only a minor annoyance, however, so no biggie. Can’t quite afford this newer one, even though it’s tempting.

My wife can destroy anything that is not wearable in 6 months or less. I bought one of these and it lasted 5 years without any problems. I’m in for one. I had the same experience as jpschust. Just keep it clean and try to keep molten cheese off the burner element. Makes it harder to clean. I always lined the bottom of the pull out tray with aluminum foil.

Can you say a little more about the additional functions? Have the older model, on the fence about updating.

NM, did my homework. Looks like it’s the slow-cook mode and oven light.

I bought a silicone liner on Amazon and put it on top of the crumb tray. No more nightmare cleaning.

Love this oven.

Take a hike. The post was a useful response about the item itself, not about where it was bought. What’s the matter with you?

That’s a good idea.

These things make the world’s best toast. (Really, no kidding.)

Now, you might think toast is toast. I used to think that… but I was wrong.
