Breville Kitchen Electrics

Can someone tell me if the Breville BOV450XL will fit a regular size frozen pizza (Tombstone, Jack’s, etc.)?

I searched some reviews on Amazon but it’s mostly people talking about the great toast it makes.

Nevermind. Found one. Won’t fit a pizza.

Or many right in the description of the oven.

11” pizza, 4-slice toast capacity (0.45 cu ft. interior)

Bought the larger size refurb a while back, great oven. Recommend the warranty plan or buying new (3 years). Mine crapped out in about 6 months w/little use.

I bought the larger version of the smart oven in January 2013. It gets heavily used in our house.

That model will handle a frozen pizza. I use it all the time for that.

Does anyone know the difference between the two blenders?

There are issues with the oven. Mine was DOA.

This is a decent deal on one of the best blenders on the market. Breville makes fantastic products and this blender is nothing short of amazing. About to buy the Breville Juice Fountain Elite quite shortly

Has anyone here used the espresso machine? Or Breville refurbished items in general? What was the quality of the refurbished product? Is the extended warranty needed?

My husband has the espresso machine and uses it daily! He did not buy refurb, and had a minor issue (I can’t recall what), but called Breville, and they send him a new part immediately under warranty. No other problems!
I have the juice fountain that I bought new. I use it at least 3x/week. I have replaced two parts, one because I dropped & broke it, and the other because it was not dishwasher safe.
We do not have the extended warranty. Got the parts online.
Otherwise, it is rock-solid! Def. recommended!

bought Breville BOV450XL refirb a couple weeks ago. Looked brand-new. All functions working great and we love it. It is a bit smaller than I would like but the space allotted for it is tiny so this was perfect.
My 9x9 pyrex fits in (a bit snug) but bakes beautifully. Used it several times already.

I got a refurb Breville RM-BJE510XL juicer from Woot a few weeks ago. It’s really nice. Easy to use and to clean.

We purchased the 800BLXL from an earlier Woot offering and my wife loves it. It appeared to be a brand new product.

Cook Magazine tested the 605XL and proclaimed it to be second best of all those tested as well as Best Buy. Vitamix was rated best but at double the price.

RECOMMENDED - BEST BUY

I bought this espresso machine over 4-5 years ago. I never unscrewed the “shower-head” where the porta filter engages to clean it. apparently you are supposed to a few times a year, i never saw that stated anywhere. Anyway, after 4+ years of multiple times used daily, the gasket failed. Simple enough to replace, if you’ve been cleaning regularly. The one screw that holds the shower head in place was seized. The screw driver i used to remove it sheered the screw head off, the screw shaft was not able to be drilled out. Subsequently, I have a perfectly working machine in my garage, works except for the shower head not being able to be reattached. I keep thinking I will be able to drill it out, I even bought “speed out” (yes, as seen on TV) but not tried yet.

the point of this post is to say that this was a fantastic machine for the whole time it worked, and is my fault it’s not working now. I could only assume that a factory reconditioned one (not refurbished, which would mean not at the factory)would be tested and quality controled as much as an original one. In fact, even with the %20 off from bed bath and beyond (which would bring down the sticker price of $349 to $279, this is still $100 cheaper)i may pick this one up and use the old one for spare parts if needed. One thing i would recommend is to unscrew the shower head a few times a year and clean it. I kept mine immaculately clean in every way i could think of, but when i did unscrew the shower head, it was really gross and dirty inside-it’s easy to do when it’s not a seized screw. and to order a spare gasket, just to have on hand for when yours fails, which it will.

Im imagining tasty espressos right now. MMMMM

Hey, woot. Do you think there’s a chance you might get the sandwich maker in stock?

The panini thing or something else? Let me know and I’ll pass it on to the buyer.
