I have this exact bread maker and it works well. If there was a reason mine was almost taken back and therefore may be what was fixed to be factory reconditioned it was the add later ingredient hamper, which I personally fixed on mine by gently bending the metal tabs so that it now works perfectly. Good breadmaker.

Just unboxed mine. The collapsible paddle right out of the box was seized in the down position. Well, to customer support I go. sigh

UPDATE: Also discovered that the unit’s frame is badly bent. On a completely flat surface, one foot is almost 1/4 of an inch off the surface. I’m sure that would have been very interesting during a kneed cycle, if I hadn’t caught this early. The packing job seemed very satisfactory and the shipping box shows no abuse, so I’m left wondering what this “certified remanufacturing” process actual entails.

Gave the breadmaker to my wife for Christmas. Packaging was fine, but the stainless case has a significant dent on the back side of the unit. We just put in our first loaf and got through all that noisy kneading and mixing into the baking phase. Took our dogs for a walk to come home to error code --H and the bread was clearly not finished baking. We tried to add baking time but this resulted in an error E:02, which isn’t listed in the US printed or online manuals, but is in the Australian manual as a service required error. So it’s off to support for us as well.
Bummer.
