My parents bought one of these awhile back, though I think they own the Breville BJE510XL. That thing would juice anything. I was visiting them one weekend and put everything from ice cream to apples to licorice to pizza to more juice through that poor thing and it handled it all like a pro. The biggest downside to this thing is that (like every other home juicer I have encountered) it is a huge pain to clean. This one in particular has about half a dozen different parts that come in contact with liquids or fruit or the pulp that it spits out. Juicing takes seconds, cleanup takes quite a bit longer.

Definitely agree that juicers are a pain to clean but I can’t imagine scraping off licorice. Hah.

mmmm… liquid pizza diet…

I have one of these. We use it often. It does juice about everything (maybe not sugarcane). The pulp receptacle is an easy cleanup if you line it with a plastic shopping bag. It comes with a brush to get any schmutz out of the screen, and you can always put the parts through a dishwasher if time is an issue. Carrots go through it super fast. I ordered a a carrot juice at a shop once, and and was amazed comparatively at how long it took to get a cup compared to what I make at home.

Personally, I’d wait for Omega’s to pop up again. Also, do your research and make sure you want a centrifugal juicer vs a masticating juicer before you buy. John Kohler is the single best source of information on juicer’s out there. Check out his videos. You’ll learn a lot and he’ll get you pumped on juicing.

I currently have a samson 6 in 1 juicer that looks a bit like a sewing machine, I love it, but don’t love how it looks. would it be crazy to upgrade just because this one looks better?! Hmmmm not sure…

Let me have Breville smart grinder!!!
