Buddha Electra Lamp

While visiting Wat Pho in Thailand, I met a Buddhist monk who spoke fairly good English. This was a few years back, before cultural appropriation was a thing.

I mentioned to him the popularity of having Buddha statues and stone “Buddha Head” ornaments in gardens in the states, and asked if he thought the practice was disrespectful. He said that, so long as the display was tasteful, he personally wasn’t offended by the idea.

This lamp might be a bit much by that standard.

I was curious about this, but I think a Buddha casting a spirit bomb statue is too good to pass up.
