Meh…

No price drop in TWO YEARS?

Another $20 can easily get you 5TB USB drives.

I’m not trying to be rude, Woot-Gods, but I’m pretty sure this is on Newegg for $10 cheaper.

Different model number. Doesn’t look the same either.

Alarmingly poor reviews on Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/Buffalo-DriveStation-Speed-External-HD-GD3-0U3/dp/B00C0NWAPS?sa-no-redirect=1

And this is not a great deal for a 3TB drive anyway. There’s a Seagate 3TB drive on Amazon for $10 less with way better reviews. Hard pass.

Ahh, I see. This one has that RAM built in. Sorry, I had been looking at the one on Newegg earlier, noticing how cheap it was compared to other places, then saw this pop up and was too struck by the coincidence to pay attention to the important details.

I bought this on a previous woot (or a very similar model). Died after 6 months, taking a big chunk of my data with it.

Seagate Link???

If this is the same one from a couple of years ago it works great for extra storage on a Xbox One.

If I had to guess, it’s this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TKFEEJ4

BUT that doesn’t have any added cache, so it’s not really an apples-to-apples (or PC-to-PC) comparison.

Do note that in Amazon’s infinite wisdom, the reviews of various models are grouped together, even though the enclosures and the drives inside of them are different. Seagate’s 4TB and larger drives typically are 5900 rpm while their 3TB and smaller are 7200 rpm.
