So is this a jerry rigging accessory for after the plastic tabs have broken off, or is it meant to be a bonus feature you can add?
“We’re about to crash! Quick, release the bumper!”
I stitched together my daughter’s car after she had a fender bender. Zip ties to the rescue.
The real intention was for race cars to be able to quickly remove the covers or panels for servicing or replacement. It then trickled down to street cars for folks who just wanted their cars to look like race cars – kind of like the fart cans low restriction exhaust and park bench seating tall rear spoilers have.
Ahhh, okay. Interesting. I’ve never seen that before, but I don’t go to track days.
So…
This would turn your car into a bumper car?

“It’s got a third row, man. Totally custom.”
That’s awesome! I’d never heard of that - it’s like demolition derby but an actual race. I was just looking at the photos of frankenstein cars. That’d be so much fun building a jalopy both reasonably fast and utterly ridiculous.
Nope, no contact, just racing. At least as much as any “$500” car could.
Now if you’re thinking demolition+racing, then you’re looking for banger racing across the pond.

Those drivers were probably pretty sore for the next week.
