Used one this year and was safe and easy clean up…The Bird was awesome.

How’s this for frying other stuff? Better off with this or with one of those low-oil air fryers that came up an hour or so ago on woot?

The list price is a little inflated (Walmart sells these for $119, Amazon $129).

It should deep fry fine anything that will fit. I think 20lbs may be a bit wishful, but frankly you want to use a smaller bird (I like 13-14) for deep frying anyhow. Once you get the thing all oiled up and hot, you might as well cook two little ones. Takes 3-4 min /lb.

This fryer is great for other things besides turkey. I’ve done hot wings, shrimp and even fresh cut fries and have done cake donuts. You just need to make sure your oil is clean when going from ‘salt’ food [meats] to ‘sweet foods.’ This fryer is really easy to clean up - even easier when you have a large kitchen sink. I would definitely recommend this fryer -

We just made donuts in ours! And had a fish fry a few weeks ago. I think our Turkey-day oil probably has another couple o’ fries left in it before we cycle it out.
