I don’t understand how this is a good deal?

Amazon has a “Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital Camera: 18 Megapixel 1080p HD Video DSLR Bundle With 18-55mm & 75-300mm Lenses 32GB (2 x 16GBSD Card) Flash Filter Kit & Bag - Professional Vlogging Sports & Action Cameras” for $459 as the everyday price.

Same camera, same lenses, but with a few additional accessories for a few dollars more.

In fact, before July, it was $449 so the price was boosted a month ago.

Update: Amazon has the same exact bundle for $449.
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital SLR Camera Kit with EF-S 18-55mm and EF 75-300mm Zoom Lenses (Black) and it’s been pretty stable at that price for months.

So where is the deal?

Sam’s Club (as well as Costco) has this Body / lens kit for the same price, and includes a shoulder bag and 32 Gig SD Card.

It’s to the point where I don’t even know why I bother refreshing Woot anymore. SlickDeals has a ton better deals.

I was excited about this Woot! but then I found this link on the mothership and decided to post my finding here.

I do think this is a good deal as the 75-300 lens is $200 by itself but the deal in the link above includes flash, memory card, tripod and some filters.

This deal is so disappointing that it actually made me log in just to comment on it. I long for the way Woot used to be. It was fun to shop, tapped into my compulsive nature (and everyone else), and just made it fun to look every day. Now it’s just Amazon Jr. This would be fine if Amazon was still fun, but that’s no longer the case either. It’s like Ebay. They have all opened up their gates to allow the flooding of “deals” and it takes longer to sort through the garbage than it should, so I can’t spend time shopping anymore.

Anyway, I fail to see any deal here.

I’d be wary buying a Canon product from Woot. Canon is infomous for refusing to honor their warranties if the products were not purchased from an authorized Canon retailer which I don’t believe Moot is.
