Anyone else having issues checking out. Getting the following error…

Your login can only be used on the Amazon Shopping app, or by logging in to Amazon online

You can start shopping on Amazon or by downloading the Amazon Shopping app.

@ThunderThighs there’s a bunch of these today. It’s tied to Amazon’s Teen account program.

I’m getting an error when I try to buy this:

"Your login can only be used on the Amazon Shopping app, or by logging in to Amazon.com online

You can start shopping on Amazon.com or by downloading the Amazon Shopping app."

I’ve bought plenty of stuff on both Amazon and Woot (with amazon log in ) in the past, not sure why this item is failing.

Strange. Have you made any changes recently to your Amazon.com account info?

Try:

  • logging out of both Amazon & Woot
  • clear cookies, cache, app data, etc.
  • log back into Woot using the Login with Amazon button.

If no luck, you might need to reach out to Amazon directly.

That didn’t work… and when I tried again, I noticed that the popup has a title “Amazon Teens”, I haven’t been a teen in several decades, so that’s pretty weird. I appreciate the suggestions though, thank you… I will contact Amazon. Oh and no, no changes to my amazon account lately, unless my wife made changes, we’re on the same account

Is anybody else having a weird issue when trying to login with their Amazon account? I’m definitely not on a teen account (it’s been quite a few years since being a teen, hah) and I don’t even have a teen in my “household”.

Curious to see if this is a new issue before contacting CS. I’ve tried the app and the browser, signed out, cleared cache/cookies, turned VPN on/off…no dice.

I logged out, then back in and it’s working for me. I think you’ll need to contact Amazon support for that one.

You might want to check there’s no teen account listed and your age is correct.

Yes, I’m having the same issue. I’ve been able to make purchases all season but today I keep getting the teen rejection. I’ve tried it on the app, logged in and out, used an incognito browser on my laptop… nothing works.

I use my own account, but I’ve had a teen on my family Amazon account for a couple years now and purchasing on Woot has never been an issue.

Checking the posting boards, this happened back in 2022 and I don’t know what the resolution was. I’ve contacted CS.

This isn’t an option for me. I have a teen who uses her account often, and I’ve never had a problem purchasing on the Woot app with my own Amazon account until this morning. Same thing happened for someone else on this site in 2022 and the resolution was never posted… apparently it was a technical issue on Woot’s end.

Same for me. I’m the adult on the account, but I have three teens who buy from Amazon too. I don’t want to delete their Amazon accounts. I may just create a new Woot account and not link it to my amazon, but then I know I’ll miss out on some specials.

We’re looking into it. It sounds like an Amazon Pay bug.

If you have any info that might help such as steps to reproduce the error. Please share.

Same here. Had my husband try his account and he cannot checkout either.

We’re opening up a ticket with the Amazon Pay group. Problem looks to be on their end.
