These are also the ones that run on Peltier Junctions, which are notoriously inefficient and consume a large amount of power. This is a 45 Watt fridge (eco-friendly my foot), which for comparison, is the same amount of power a Dometic 25 Liter (6x larger) Compressor fridge/freezer consumes in freeze mode (CFX3 25). It’ll also take hours to get a can from room temp to chilled, let alone 6 of them (this is why it says “cans must be chilled before putting in fridge”), whereas the Dometic is frozen in about 20 minutes.
In short, it’s incredibly inefficient, a gimmick more than anything else, and only $1 cheaper than the mothership. Pass for me.
This thing isn’t even worth $25, let alone $40. Another pathetic product that Amazon can’t sell that’s only taking up warehouse space. The energy cost alone from this product makes it a horrible purchase decision.
Or the blue one for 8.59 less today.

Nice concept for your desk at work, but not energy efficient. Walmart has it basically for the same price. Apparently Amazon thinks they can dump anything on Woot and we’re just going to gobble it up without price checking. If Amazon is going to treat Woot like its discount outlet, they need to sell at discount prices.
These items have some limited value; we use it to keep my wife’s diabetes medications cold when we take trips. It works in the car, it works in the hotel, and it doesn’t rely on ice so the meds stay dry. However, I bought it on a Black Friday special at Walmart for $16. So this price isn’t anything special.
