white looks great when clean but most places I’ve seen white keyboards they look pretty scuzzy with regular use unless you commit to cleaning them.
silent switches are so much less fun than clicky switches. but maybe you disagree or have a situation where this isn’t applicable.
Noisy keyboards are one of the most annoying noises on earth.
I think that’s the sound emitted in Dumb & Dumber and they just dubed it so audience didn’t have seizures and mass rage events.
Even the quietest of mechanicals are almost too loud to tolerate.

Noisy keyboards are like a manual transmission. It’s great for the operator but terrible for the “passengers” who don’t know when the next keystroke/shift is coming.

When we started working from home during COVID, my son whose desk is in the same room, hollered “YOU TYPE TOO LOUD!!!”. I learned on a Selectric. You had to punch those keys.
