Could this light go outside by a pool?
the same torchieres on amazon are listed as 71 and 72 inches tall, seems like 26 inches tall would be incorrect.
26 inches is terribly short for a “floor lamp”
actually it would make sense if the box the lamp comes in was 26 inches but the lamp shaft itself was boxed in 3 pieces which you push or screw together to make a 70+ inch shaft.

Are the shades on these truly made out of glass, or are they plastic as most of them are? (The plastic ones look almost as good as glass, so that’s not criticism, but I like to know what I’m buying.)

Some reviews on Amazon for the Dragonfly Style Torchiere Floor Lamp say that it is plastic however other reviewers say it’s absolutely glass.
Checked with the buyer and per the vendor, they are stained GLASS.

I got the torcheire from Amazon in December and it is definitely plastic not glass. The pole is slightly warped too. It looks OK, just don’t expect it to be handing it down to your grandchildren.
Different manufacturers people. Wayfare and Chloe. This is Chloe. Other is wayfare. Check the details before knocking a product.
