Citronella Plants with 4" Pot & Soil

These are not at all the citronella plant that you get the citronella oil used in mosquito repellents. Citronella is a tall grass which by itself does not repell the bugs. The oil extracted does that.

These just smell like citronella. Even rubbing the leaves to extract the liquid doesn’t nothing to repell mosquitoes.

Other plants will repell mosquitoes like marigold, rosemary, lavender and many more. It’s the strong smell that they don’t like.

Also these propagate easily from clippings. Just be sure to clip a growing tip preferably one from the side and not the top.
