Close enough

That’s an impossible cube configuration, no wonder it couldn’t be solved…

Looking at the centers, we know 3 sides: white on the left, red on the top, and green on the right.

Looking at the corner piece that we can see all three sides of, we know that three touching sides are red, white and blue.

With the white face on the front left and red on the top, blue has to be on the front right or on the back left. We can see that the front right is green which forces the back left to be blue.

The problem is, putting the corner piece where it belongs, there is no orientation that will allow the red and white faces to be where they are. One of the faces needs to swap with one of the other two.

But nobody is reading this, so it dosn’t matter. I just had nothing better to do on my way to work.
