I recently purchased the expensive, handmade Mocomaster. It comes with a bigger than average scoop – roughly 2 tbs. For 8 cups (which is really 4 cups by American standards) it tells you to put in 5 heaping scoops or 5.5 grams of coffee.
I tried both methods. 5 heaping scoops pretty much come out to the needed grams and weighing it is just plain dumb. There is no scientific reason to be this precise. Waste of time and money.
Price drop on the mothership. $14.70. Didnt check all of them, but the canister set is also cheaper as of this post.
