not a good deal by a longshot. if you need one for back to school, just wait for officemax or CC to have something with a crazy rebate; you can get a core 2 duo setup for this price easily.

With a celeron chip I wouldn’t touch this for over $500. JMO.
Price is nice, but reliability comes at the cost of the low retail price. This is a refurb, and I would guess that whatever didn’t break for the first owner will break sometime in the next 6 months. Compaq makes disposable computers - check out reviews online to see what I’m talking about… motherboard failures, cheap hard drives, screen issues.
