Cooler Master MM720 Gaming Mouse

Cooler Master MM720 Gaming Mouse

I got the black version when it was on Woot a few weeks ago at $29. It’s decent especially at this price; my only complaint is that it’s too lightweight. The ultralight cord is nice though, it makes it feel like a wireless mouse but with the accuracy and response of a wired mouse.

For those wondering, you can change or turn off the lighting but it has to be done via the Windows-only Cooler Master software, so if you want to use this on Linux it will work fine as a standard mouse but you’ll have to use a Windows machine to set the colors and DPI the way you want them first. Those settings persist in the mouse’s built in storage so once set you can move it between computers with no issues.

I’m actually curious now to see if the Cooler Master software will work under Wine on Linux; I’ll have to play around with that.
