And woot is owned by amazon. The same company that canceled all the listings of small retailers who were driving up prices

I have been with Woot since the beginning, before Amazon took over, when it was easy to get a BOC. I was proud of the little Texas startup that was so successful. Now you engage in unconscionable price gouging. Get out of my state, snakes.

The ones listed below on Target/Walmart are 12 Mega Rolls (1 mega roll = 4 regular rolls) for $12.48 / $12.69 (48 regular rolls total)
The “Woot Sale” of 4 Double Rolls (1 double roll = 2 regular rolls) is $18.26 (8 regular rolls total)
So let me try to do some math.
At Target/Walmart during “Normal Times” it is $12.48 before tax for “48 rolls”. $12.48 / 48 equals about $0.26 per roll for the Walmart/Target rolls.
The “woot sale” during a “pandemic” has “8 rolls” for $18.26. So… $18.26 / 8 = $2.28 per roll.
A $2 up charge per roll!
This really makes me sad, woot. Why would you do this? Why would you take advantage of a situation (or let a retailer use you as a vessel to take advantage of a situation?) I thought you were better than this. 
I will admit that the ones I showed pictures of don’t have “clean ripple” written on the package, but I doubt that “clean ripple” toilet paper of the exact same brand/make is worth a $2 up charge per roll.

Wow…someone actually paid the price gouge price? Damn hypocrites…woot has been showing prices that make the deals look way better than they are for a while now…Not even deals if you live in Texas even cuz you have to pay taxes plus 6 dollars shipping if you’re not on prime…smmfh…
There is a difference between inflating the “retail” price and still offering a reasonable sale/final price versus offering a completely unreasonable/gouged final price. That’s why laws exist.
Why not both? That is my plan.
Hey guys, when we saw the price of the TP on this sale, we too were taken aback. We looked into it and found that it was a setup error. We would never attempt to take advantage of the current situation. To those who did purchase this, we’re going to send out an email shortly and you will receive a full refund. You’ll also still receive the toilet paper. We messed up and take ownership for our mistake.
