COWIN Noise Canceling Bluetooth Headphones

I bought these on Prime day for $42.99 after seeing them over and over on Amazon in a search for some different bluetooth headphones just to try a new brand. They were comfy, they sounded good enough, but the button placement was awful, and the biggest problem is that they are bluetooth headphones that cannot maintain bluetooth connection, rendering them useless. I have used bluetooth headphones every day at work for the past many years, so I know how to use them.

If you read the low reviews on Amazon you’ll see that it’s an issue. What you won’t see is my review because they refuse to let me review these headphones, which is as suspect as can be. These headphones have an inordinate number of reviews compared to many more notable brands, and I’ve read that sometimes they won’t let you review a certain product because it looks like there’s an issue with the reviews. They’ll sure keep promoting the product though. If you want to use them wired, they might be good cans, but the bluetooth connection on them struggled for me and for many others.

Unless i’m missing a subtle model difference, this is $42 at Amazon after a 5% coupon.

That said, i’ve bought this twice (home and work) on Amzn on Lightning Deals for about $35. They are decent (for the price) over-the-ear headphones. I use them with the cord at work and they do the job (drown out loud talkers) with good sound. They aren’t audiophile quality, but good enough.

I’d recommend them, but don’t overpay.

[MOD: not seeing a coupon]

Pretty decent over the ear headphones. I haven’t had the issues with Bluetooth connection that the other reviewer had. Overall, I’ve enjoyed using them. Be warned though, the microphone quality of your transmitted voice is awful. I tried to use these for work on conference calls and no one could understand me. I tested these with friends to hear how bad it is and it’s extremely muffled.

I bought 2 pairs of these headphones, 1 before prime day and the other on prime day.The one I bought before prime day was great. The one I bought on prime day was junk and couldn’t hold a bluetooth connection to several phones and tablets right up against the headset.

After comparing the 2 sets, they were completely different models. The good one has a 3 way switch that toggles between nfc, bluetooth, and off. The bad one has a 2 way switch that toggles between bluetooth and off. Markings were the same on both. Packaging was the same on both. But there was no way to turn on nfc in the bad pair.

YMMV but I like the ones with the 3 way switch.

I bought these several months ago. I have not had trouble with an Apple Iphone 7 w/IOS 10.3 when using Bluetooth. They are heavy, sound ok, but get hot on the ears after extended wear.

If you are a big traveler, I would recommend something much lighter & more compact for packing like Bose QC35
