Alert a really long rambling story
So about a week ago I went to a birthday party for a one year old girl. Her parents decided she was the caboose she is #6 of 6 girls. For the 3rd or 4 girl I made her parents (my heart string children) a crocheted baby blanket on a whim I believe it was 2019 I used a 3d flower pattern I learned just for this. I then joined them with green yarn for the stems. I never made her anything else because no matter how many nice things bling and I made I have never seen any of her children wear use or even pictures of the things. Bling crossstitched a Noah’ s Arc quilt it took three months to make she worked on it every day for several hours and 6 each Sunday it was so detailed it was ridiculous. I was dumbfounded she got it done so quick.
Anyway when I walked in she had the blanket on the display “a field of flowers” is what I named it because the blanket is my pattern.
here it is I would love your honest opinion on it.

I understand why they dont use them. They are heirloom pieces. But I would absolutely immortalize them in pics!

It’s beautiful Flour. I agree with cartr1. The parents are probably putting them away with the baby books and other mementos. I’ve got the baby blanket and the santa outfit my grandma crocheted for me. They’re too special to use for more than photos.

I make everything from earrings to painted rocks to whipped body butter to clay pickles that go on magnets & hair clips… I get bored easily so I switch it up whenever I’m feeling antsy. There’s lots more but I already feel like a picture ■■■■ posting this many!

Thank you everyone I appreciate the good vibes and wonderful comments it was a labor of love. I can’t remember how many flowers are in it but I had like 20 leftover and always thought I would make a pillow cover but lost interest after I struggled with that blanket for what I felt was to long. But I thought I would like one so I was proud of it and I noticed that time made it look nicer to my minds eye
