I’m confused. The exention cord is only a foot long? Why is it on a reel?
This is so one could to add their own extension cord.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)

Yeah, the way it’s worded is weird. They’re like 'hey with this 1 foot cable, you can work all around your yard. 
But like Narfcake said, it’s so you can save some money if you’ve already got the extension cord and you just want the reel. The others all come with 50-100 ft cords.
