Second picture shows 50 ft. What am I missing? What’s the purpose of one foot extension?
I don’t get it either
I believe this is designed so that you connect your own extension cord to the 1’.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
You supply your own ext. cord with this. The “50 ft.” note is to tell you that the capacity of the reel is one 50 ft., 14AWG cord. You could probably manage longer though.
Per this chart (Wire Ampacity Chart with Rated Amperage - StayOnline Ampacity Chart), This 14AWG cable is rated for 15 Amps and 300 maximum volts for lengths under 50 ft, and 10 Amps/300V for lengths 50’ and up. No matter how heavy duty your extension cable is that you connect to this, do not exceed this amperage rating.
Also please note that this cable, while weather-resistant, is not oil resistant. It can still be permeated and compromised by contact with oils.
