Tanto blades (semi serrated).
Why did it have to be a tanto blade or serrated blade…
Amazon has it for $37.95 with free shipping… Come on woot!
Ok. My bad woot! That is a plastic handled version.
That one on Amazon is a slightly different model.
Something tells me this knife is meant more for shanking dudes in dark alleys than actual work.
Tanto style blades suck to begin with and this one sucks a little more because it is serrated to boot.
Erm, my experience is different.
The serrated portion of the blade is super useful when you need a really, really sharp part for something.
Also, I’ve found the little sharp point created by the tanto shape to be pretty useful on occasion as well. Not saying it’s necessarily better than a standard blade, but the tanto design isn’t that bad.
If you use a knife to cut rope, heavy cardboard, industrial belting, or pretty much any thing else work related, serrated is vastly superior.
I’ve found serrated blades to work like a dream on rope and that little tanto tip is great for feathersticks.
I among others disagree. You may not like them but obviously others do and have uses for them.
I’m not The Lone Ranger, so I don’t need this Tanto…
Last knife like this was the kershaw blur - I JUMPED only to find yugster having it for 5 DOLLARS CHEAPER - i was pissed.
Come On amazon!! CRUSH THEM
Hey Farva what’s the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy stuff on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
FIX THE NY ZIP CODE LIST!!
YOU HAVE EVERY ZIP CODE IN THE STATE LISTED…
THE DUMBA$$ NO SHIP LAW ONLY PERTAINS TO CERTAIN PARTS OF NYC!!!
People who think they need a serrated edge for things like rope or cardboard just need a great knife with a good edge, then they will see the error in their thinking.
I’ve been camping for over 40 years and have backpacked hundreds of miles with weeks spent in the great outdoors, carrying no tools other than a knife. I’ve also owned dozens of different knives of various styles and varying qualities.
Serrated or non-serrated is entirely a matter of preference, and the 14-year-old pretend experts on the subject tend to have both zero experience and zero knowledge.
Buy what works for you.
(Also, the only internet group more annoying than the fake knife experts are the fake audiophiles.)
I agree. Bet I can cut through any rope faster with my knife than a serrated knife…
Serrated is good if you don’t like sharpening knives, though…
This sharpener works pretty good, use a fine belt and be careful.
