Knives come and go - how do these stack up next to Kershaws?

FYI: The Ken Onion Ripple, by California state law is not a switchblade. It is a folding knife. Even assisted opening folding knives, like Kershaw’s with torsion springs, are not considered switchblades. A switchblade must open automatically by pressing a button, lever, or switch. Assisted open knives like the Kershaw require you to manually push the thumbstud to open the knife, then the spring makes it open faster.

I love CRKT. I honestly almost dont feel safe with other knives locking mechanisms, but these knives have a much better system than others in the price range. These get my seal of approval!
I guess I’m in the minority that prefers the thumb cut/hole style over the peg or lever. On top of that, finding one that comfortably allows the use of the index finger to swiftly open the knife instead of the thumb is quite the challenge. The blade pointing down when clipped to the pocket with an index finger permissible thumb hole is by far the best option in my opinion. Couple that with a release that allows you to close the knife with one hand and your thigh or belly and you’ve got a winner.
If that CRKT Ripple was $5-$10 cheaper, I would have jumped on the deal, but as it is, I know a few places where I can get it for less after S&H
They are actually pretty comparable to equally priced Kershaw knives.

I actually say “cricket” when referring to CRKT. “Columbia River Knife and Tool” is just a mouthful. Does anyone else do this, or am I just a weirdo?
