Cuisinart Stainless 8-Piece Cookware Set

Cuisinart Stainless 8-Piece Cookware Set

I got this set a few years ago. Very nice-looking, but a few minor issues. Most of the pots have small flaws in the interior metal surface, which doesn’t affect the cooking. (I’m thinking these may be factory seconds, not quite good enough for retail.) The other thing is that the rivets holding the handles to the pots are an aluminum alloy. It corrodes impressively if you leave the pots soaking - two different metals, in contact in water, makes it a galvanic anode (look it up.)

If you forget one of these on the stove, the aluminum encapsulated in the bottom will melt, and the pot will come apart, so don’t do that either.

If you don’t require perfect looks, and aren’t the pot-soaking, forgetful type, this is a nice, sturdy set that will last for decades. The clear lids are wonderful to have, and you’ll be spoiled once you get used to them.

I respect an honest opinion. Cool melding there.
