Is it a coincidence that I’m hungry and Woot has this up for sale?
I bought one last time offered here. Used once for burgers, with grilling plates. Pros: as advertised, it cooks food, leaves pretty lines and is easily cleaned. Unlike the G. F., it’s not inclined, so food doesn’t slide off when you lift the top.
Cons: not inclined enough for drippings to find their way to the drip cups: you must lift the top and help it with a spatula - tedious and time-consuming, so food cooks mostly on the bottom. While the top is up all the accumulated grease on its griddle drips onto the counter. They should have included a full-width drip cup for the rear or used a hinge design that brought the top forward when raised. Three control knobs baffling: two temp knobs - one for top and one for bottom - would have been sufficient and understandable.
It’s OK but glad I didn’t pay any more.
