Cushe Men's Surf Slippers

I’ve got a pair of these bought at REI. I really liked the feel of the shoes, but, for a big guy, I found the soles wore pretty quickly from day-to-day use. This because a big problem when it rained here in Austin; I almost slipped and fell really bad several times with these shoes and some of the local parking lots because of a lack of grip.

I wear a 40 Birkenstock & other Euro sized shoes. I also wear a men’s size 9 US. This size chart says I should order a 43 for a size 9.

Any guidance??

I think the chart states 42 = US men’s size 9. Hope so because I just ordered a pair

I normally wear 10.5 (3 or 4E) and the size eleven equivalent fit me just fine. Gonna get another pair for me and one for the wife if we can convert men to women sizes. I’m old and they remind me of the canvas sneakers that were a fad when I was young, only much nicer and more comfortable.

Serious question even though it may not sound it. Are they waterproof? They say surf slippers, can they be used kayaking or tubing?

No, they wouldn’t be good for that. The brand Cushe is surf inspired - a laid back attitude. Think comfort and casual… like a surfer.

While a properly waxed canvas is waterproof, it’s not the kind of waterproof you’d use for water activities. These Cushe slippers can handle getting wet AFTER your water activity… like surfing. Hang ten!
