We’ve used these before on our hardwood. It did keep the rug from sliding, but it also began to stick to the floor. It left some kind of residue on the hardwood that took forever to scrub off. It will also deteriorate over time and leave a gritty material on the floor.
Did it perform it’s intended function? Yes. Did we get another one when we replaced the rug? No.
