D-Link No thanks!
Secretprices has model DI-624 (older?) for $5 after rebate … legit?
Pricing excludes shipping and tax.
FYI: I Cant Stand Michael Smyth. The router is ok, too.
Isn’t N going to replace G soon?
Have one just like it and its not very good. Go with a Netgear of Lyksys.
This is by far the worst router D-Link has ever released. Frequent disconnects, with the constant need to reboot.
Good router. But I do not have MIMO wireless card …
What is the difference between this and the DI-624? I have the DI-624, but I’m looking for a good cheap router for my friend, because I can never get a signal at his place.
2008 at the earliest…
I find D-Link to be the Maxtor of networking gear. Take that as you will.
It isn’t even a good deal!!!
mimo?? do i also need mimo compatible cards adapters to fully use this to its fullness?
mimo mimo mimo mimo mimo… 8o)
i have a d-link works great!
but not one with two antenas, defently a good buy.
i dont need one. but i would buy it if i needed it
It seems surprising to see another Listener Mailbag episode after what seems like a relatively short time.
(This definitely makes up for Tuesday’s really bad Woot).
Official D-Link Site for Product
hmm newegg has the lowest price after mail-in so far that i can find.
CNET gave it 4.8 out of 10
The good: Affordable; fastest maximum-throughput performance.
The bad: Uneven performance; unreliable; short warranty.
The bottom line: You may be tempted by the DI-624M’s low price and high scores, but you should resist–it’s too unreliable.
oh well nite woot
