I have four of these six in a drawer. My therapist says I can talk about it now.
Thermite: Feels good in a big hand, slow almost ponderous action because the blade makes such a big sweep when opening. Longest of this bunch, with a nice long straight blade and a handy arc at the tip. Handle is very well thought out, with a well-machined grippy side, and a metal side borrowed from the cryo. I find myself using this a lot.
Cryo: Awesome all-metal design, kinda minimalist, kinda 80s scifi. Smallest of this bunch, and probably the most functional and durable. Stupidly fast opening action. I don’t have an “EDC” but if I did this would be it. Subtle but still badass. At home in a suit jacket or thrown in an electrician’s toolbox. Buy it.
Clash: Quality knife, but we don’t get along. Lacks subtlety. Moderate speed of opening, but blade’s too fat for my liking and the handle is big and plain. Big and obnoxious. LOOK I HAVE A BIG KNIFE. If you needed a sharp oyster knife, this would be it.
Starter: The only Kershaw knife inspired by Alien. HR Geiger would approve. This makes me snicker every time I pick it up. It’s a great blade, and the handle is very heavy, much heavier than any of the others. Somewhat ponderous opening action. Buy it for the laughs, pass it on to your worried grandkids.
