In the bottom row, there is something listed as Omega NC800HDR Blender Red, but it looks like a juicer–the type of Omega juicer I may be interested in purchasing. What’s going on there?
The Omega NC800HDR Juicer (not blender) is probably the best juicer on here. I was going to buy the Omega 8004 before I was given a centrifugal juicer, so researched a bit. The centrifugal juicers are quicker, but much louder and much harder to clean. I stopped using it because it took so much time to clean after each use. The masticating juicers are much better with greens and supposedly don’t cause as much harm to the delicate nutrients. Masticating vs centrifugal. Plus great reviews on Amazon So, probably in for one NC800HDR.
I have a VRT350, and I have to say that it’s pretty much the bee’s knees, and it’s not even their top-of-the-line.
While I’m no pro, I have used a few different juicers, and this one is pretty incredible. It juices so thoroughly that the about the only waste product resembles paper pulp (I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact they are both made of cellulose). The unit is fairly quiet, unlike centrifugal units, and it seems designed and built very solidly. It isn’t difficult to clean, but I’ve seen easier-to-clean units. It’s worth the trade off, especially when masticating juicers make juice that keeps much longer than the juice made in a centrifugal juicer.
