Check out some Test Results

I bought a box of these awhile ago.
I’ve had WOOT: Rayovac, Kodak, and Duracell…

These Sony batteries are by far the worst batteries I’ve ever owned. AND they leaked all over the each other so half of them had to be thrown out.

I am so sorry WOOT! Please stop selling these batteries!

Wow, that sounds terrible.

Detailed Battery Tests from anrieff.net

The 72-pack of AA is cheaper at Groupon, just happened to order them yesterday.

That makes me feel a lot better about the fact that the order I placed a few weeks ago for the 108 AA Sony batteries (BTW, at $2 less than today’s) got lost in transit somehow. Luckily they ran out so they couldn’t fill the order and I got a refund.

After paying tax they were only a few cents cheaper. Good find but I’ll stay with woot and Amazon’s A to Z guarantee by checking out that way.

Well… anybody with a positive experience? I was all set to buy… ran out of AA yesterday, but certainly don’t need leaky batteries.

Depending on your use, maybe you should check out Eneloop batteries on the mothership. I use them for kids electronics and other stuff and can’t recommend them enough. Kind of pricy, but totally worth it.

I have a bunch of outdoor water timers and a gate opener in which I use regular akaline batteries. Was thinking of getting these but not with the so-so reviews. Will get the Duracell pack from A.

So surprised to see a couple negative experiences with these. We’ve tried Fuji, then Kodak, then Duracell, then Sony all from Woot over the years. We’ve had the best Bang for our Buck with the Sony and was excited to wake to this one…In for a refill for the Holidays…PERFECT TIMING Woot!!

Did you take into consideration shipping costs when comparing?

With 11 remotes in the house, along with 2 radar detectors, and other things, I never realized how many AA batteries I go through. Bought the 72 pack last time on Woot, still have some left but running low. I’ve considered rechargeables, however their charge doesn’t hold long and you’re continually removing batteries, charging, and replacing again.

People (with eleventy-billion remotes) do know that they have batteries you can actually recharge and reuse HUNDREDS of times… right?

Or are people just really into toxifying landfills?

I have power-hungry camera gear - if I used disposable batteries I’d be broke.

Every time I see one of these sales I weep for the human race.

Not even worth a penny. Total junk. Sony Electronics are awesome but these battery’s are not worth it.

Get at least a pack every time there on here. Work great in my Xbox controllers and headset! I’d say there worth “every penny” ^^

Our family loves using Sony batteries, especially for the holiday… we find they last and last in our kids toys…and with our stuff too…

Any specifics to backup your post?

Yes I did. If you buy 2 packs on Groupon you get free shipping, making it an even better deal since you’ll still pay $5 to ship on here.
