Don’t buy it, will not stay working, cant connect to wifi network, Contacted both Pyle and Woot and still have my expensive Pyle paperweight.
Thanks for the heads up cuz I was actually considering buying it!!
Not anymore I have more than enough paper weight’s! Both Plye & Woot should of handled the problem already. I have ordered merchandise from WOOT before and haven’t hsd any problems. But then again I didn’t spend not even close to what you did. Maybe $20.00 is the largest amount I’ve spent. Again, that shouldn’t matter keeping their customers satisfied & happy should be number one priority along with quality service. After all, you are spending your hard working money with them when you could of gone elsewhere.
I had the EXACT same issue The wifi was horrible, the unit had ro be reset every other day, and when I put in Pyle’s software patch, the picture was irreveribly flipped. Woot finally authorized a refund after 5 emails.
Same as others, won’t connect to wifi. Thinking the issue was my router, I waited and still no luck on brand new router. Woot basically said FU because it was outside of return window. Don’t take a chance on this kind of stuff on Woot anymore, Amazon at least backs their products with a responsible return policy.
I bought these a month ago and tried them out. The outdoor camera wouldn’t connect to WIFI and the indoor HD camera would only stay running for a day before needing a reboot. The android app is ok but not even branded from Pyle. The whole deal is sketchy. They’ve got a ways to go before these are worth $80+. I ended up returning mine to woot after trying to interact with terrible support at Pyle. I’m still waiting for my refund a month later.
Never tried these, glad I read the posts. D-Link wireless cam’s are simple to connect to router and very reliable with free app and cloud account. If they ever offer those I’ll buy some more. I have a unusable Foscam and a complete (useless)Zmodo system.
Forget this and wait for a $80 Foscam HD 1Megabit camera to go on sale…Foscam is solid and works well, and if you need help you can call an American in Houston to assist in support if you order from them.
I just bought 2 of them, and if you follow the directions and upgrade the firmware, they are flawless. They even have a free app and cloud services.
Foscam support left a lot to be desired for me… I had to give someone in China access to my network so they could check the camera before they agreed it was broken and needed to be replaced. The replacement works but never again will I upgrade the firmware as the last time I did it ruined the original camera. I was also accused of making fake screenshots on their support forum, like I have nothing better to do but complain on a forum about problems I don’t really have. I don’t know where they find people who would seriously suggest that.
