Time to check out the product page for the 40"

sweet pic for the television sets.

ADQ is lookin’ good.

What is the warranty?
Can we get an extended warranty?

4.7 Stars on the 60" over at B&H Photo

abe’s of maine has the 60" for 799.00 with free shipping and a free “$100” flat mount. If you use the coupon code (listed on the top of the page) SAVE2 you get an additional 2% off making it 783.xx

I have the 50", and while it looks great, there are a few issues.

First, only two HDMI. That’s an issue for me, as I have all three gaming consoles, plus my computer, that I want to hook up to the TV.

Second, the software is fairly slow. A noticeable lag anytime you open the smart menu, or any program from that menu. Much slower than my other smart TV (a Vizio). Even switching between sources takes longer than expected.

Third, and this is personal opinion, I don’t like the remote.

If you don’t need the extra HDMI ports, or care too much about how slow the software seems to respond, then it’s a fantastic TV. And to those that are wanting it for gaming, the input lag is very good.

Samsung Smart TV? I guess it depends on how much you like your privacy and how much you like advertising, even in your own home streamed video.

This is a seriously troubling trend that needs to be nipped in the bud by people voting with their wallets.

Man, I was this -->||<-- close to pulling the trigger on the 60" until I noticed only two HDMI inputs.

One, for BluRay, one for satellite, and then you’re outta luck for your Roku, FireTV, ChromeCast, etc., etc…

I guess if I hadn’t noticed now, then Samsung’s eavesdropping crew could have heard me cuss up a storm when I unboxed the TV and noticed this then, huh?

We show the warranty at the bottom of the features on each sale. It’s probsbly 90-day Woot but look at the one you’re interewted in to be sure.

There’s a link to purchase a SquareTrade warranty in the features as well. The SqTr widget doesn’t work on all mobile devices so try a computer if you’re not seeing it.

Just FYI, “CMR” is essentially a fake refresh rate made up by Samsung, every manufacturer does this now.

120 CMR here means a 60 Hz refresh rate, and 240 CMR means a 120 Hz refresh rate. Link.

HDMI hub?

Woot - I don’t care about the TVs, but you carry that skull cardigan, and we’ll talk.

Are these 2014 models–or earlier models? Basically I’m trying to find out if these are DirecTV-Ready or not?

I use a projector for my main TV, so only ONE HDMI input. How do I do it? Any decent setup has real speakers, and those real speakers have a receiver. And any decent receiver these days has HDMI ports…

So all switching of video and audio is handled with the receiver.

Be sure to turn off any voice control features

Beware Abes of Maine… they used bait and switch on me… poor customer service… read the reviews.
