I also found this BOC hidden.

Loved how it was hidden with the konami code. wish I would have been eligible for it, but got one in the wootoff last week.

Here is a TV Buying Guide From ThunderThighs

Likewise. Also one looming around another plus sale.

Woo Hoo, who would have thought that it would take over 2 minutes for the first one to sale, never thought I would ever get first wooter status on a Barge of Chimpanzees.

Check out the product page for the 55"

Yeah, I found that one first and my wife managed to snag one before that one sold out.

4.4 Stars on the 65" over at Costco

I’d love to get one of these for the living room, been meaning to upgrade the 50" rear projection TV we have in there right now, but never can pull the trigger. Maybe woot can slip one into my wifes boc for me.

Looks tempting. Will need a day or three to think about.

I saw a 4k OLED curved screen on display at a store just the other day. it was an LG brand and looked good, except for when the screen was off, the screen had ‘dents’ in it. it looked as if it was rolled up and compressed causing kinks and creases in some parts, then formed back into the curved shape.

now that was an ultra thin OLED design, but I’m wondering if the LCD screens would suffer from the same or similar issues… I won’t dismiss the possibility that it’s just what happens when you put a big curved screen within reach of anyone and everyone in store walking by and touching everything, especially kids. but I still wonder, are we ready for curved screens?

let’s bring back Cinerama!

Not a bad deal at all, but that 50" Dynex for $280 is looking better and better every minute. I paid more than that for my 32" a couple years back! lol

50" Dynex - $279.99

Does anyone have the 65" 3D TV? I have an LG 65" with 3D (passive 3D) and I love it. This deal seems really good though.

Anyone have any first hand experience with it?

Hi, I would just like to point out a feature of Samsung Tv’s.

“Samsung routinely intercepts and records the private communications of consumers in their homes,” the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) wrote. “Samsung’s attempts to disclaim its intrusive surveillance activities by means of a ‘privacy notice’ do not diminish the harm to American consumers.”
“To provide you the Voice Recognition feature, some voice commands may be transmitted (along with information about your device, including device identifiers) to a third-party service that converts speech to text or to the extent necessary to provide the Voice Recognition features to you,” the privacy policy states. “Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition.”

[MOD: Samsung’s Privacy Policy with a SmartTV supplement about 2/3 the way down. The feature can always be disabled.]

720p for that Dynex? I don’t think so. Maybe for $79. Where is the relevance in such a post here?

Samsung has clarified concerns over it’s voice recognition remote. Also that feature can be turned off in case you decide to have a confessional with your tv.

Clear Motion Rate and actual Refresh Rate discussion aside, can anyone with real experience watching the 55" curved 4k TV tell me how this thing does with fast action sports?

I would love to buy a new 4k TV but, besides the fact that there is little to no native content, the 90 day warranty is just too short.

[MOD: You can add on a SquareTrade warranty.]
