Zwilling J. A. Henckels Homepage

There was a comment (deleted?) about the one person logo being the high quality Henckels, while the two person logo was the lower quality stuff. That is backwards.

JA Henckels International is the cheaper stuff, Zwilling JA Henckels is the higher end stuff. Here is the company’s brand strategy:

Thanks for the info/link provided.

how does this compare to Henckels 4-star? I have a 4-star chef’s knife for the last 20 years and love it. I want to get the knife set if this is similar to 4-star.

You are correct. Additionally, There are about four different levels (quality and price) in this the higher end of the company and they are not only made in Germany but also, Spain. What is being offered here is the lesser end from Zwilling JA Henckels but with that said, these are excellent knives and very much value priced. They far exceed the lesser brand knives of JA Henckels International. If you get any one or all these and ***YOU TAKE PROPER CARE OF IT/THEM *** you will have something very nice that will last a lifetime. I have been using Henkles cutlery for many years.

I bought the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Cuisine 8-inch Chef’s Knife - B-Grade for $14.95 listed it sold for $185.00…anyways it is a great cutting tool, bought it here on WOOT last fall…not sure why it is a grade B knife. It is a heavy well balanced tool…a great buy for $15.00!!

So where are these specific knives made? China? Germany? Spain?

[MOD: Made in Germany]

The Zwilling “Pure” line is priced under the “professional” and above the “4 star” line of knives. (Pro has rivets through the handle)
I have had (and use daily) a set of these for over 25 years and they still keep their edge.
These are made in Solingen, Germany.

Who can tell me about the “synthetic soft touch handle” on the 4" paring knife? Sounds weird.

MOD: Are you certain? Some of their knives are now made in Spain and are not quite as good as the German made knives - I know, because we have some of both.

I bought these same knives when they were on a Woot deal a few weeks ago. They are indeed made in Solingen and are great quality. I absolutely love them; they are leaps and bounds above my old Chicago Cutlery set.

That’s what I was told.
