I’ve used a couple of gunnar glasses before. All have been good quality. What I like about them most is that they take the strain off of my eyes, especially before bed, making it way easier to sleep.

Time to learn all about how they work

I own these, got them at Woot.

Pros:

  • They help with eye strain and make it easier to look at a monitor longer.

  • They look decent.

Cons:

  • Fingerprint magnets, and they don’t clean up very easily.

  • The ones I have get a bit sore on the bridge of my nose after a few hours of wear.

  • They magnify your view a bit.

Overall not bad, but shooting glasses will give the same effect. I still use mine so they are okay I guess.

Gunnar’s are pretty decent, just don’t expect a magical change. Also, expect to get some weird looks or comments if you wear them in a public setting.

I wear these, which I bought off of amazon a few months back on a whim. I used to get frequent headaches (at least once per day) and figured it was worth a try. I got made fun of a bit by the other guys at work (totally fine, since they do look a little goofy), but stuck with them anyway. I feel it was worth the money, even at about 60$.

I work with computers 8 hours per day, then stare at a screen for at least 4 more when I get home so I have a pretty significant strain on my eyesight. It doesn’t help that I have light aversion after having laser eye surgery about a year ago.

It could all just be mental, but I feel like these have helped to curb my headaches significantly. I still get headaches occasionally, but it’s only once or so a week instead of every single day, and it’s usually because I’m furrowing my brow.

My only real complaints are: the pair that I bought didn’t come with any kind of protective case. The one’s off of Amazon gave you a little cloth bag (that I use to keep the lenses clean), and finger prints show EXTREMELY easily.

As long as you take decent care of your stuff, don’t plan on taking them on to many trips and are careful in how you touch them they seem to work fine for me. They also don’t feel too intrusive when wearing over-ear headphones, which I wear most of the day at work.
