So it makes sense the brick works. I believe “instant” yeast and “rapid-rise” is pretty much the same. I think I did read that somewhere.
You can get fleischmann’s yeast in jars that doesn’t say bread machine too. My guess is that the ones you are showing are the same thing. Both say rapid rise.
Looks good- I may buy it too. I have a lot of recipes but only actually make basic white bread. I guess don’t mess with success?
Let me know if you find a good recipe.
Oh by the way my half loaf of white bread recipe calls for 1 tsp of yeast. I use 3/4 of bread machine yeast and it rises to a full loaf. So be careful or you’ll have dough all over the place.
If you get confused, just leave out the yeast.
Don’t do that
Hmmm… I have some free kindle credits that need to be used, but I generally prefer hard copy recipes. Only $6 though…

This is my most used recipe. It’s pizza dough but it will also make stromboli. It’s from my parent’s bread machine book, but it works in mine too. Just use the dough setting.
It’s a nice hard back book.
I took a screenshot. The book that came with my machine also has a pizza dough with beer recipe. Weird.
I’ve heard of beer bread (and beer-batter for veggies), so I guess beer pizza dough isn’t too odd. The bubbles are supposed to create a lighter crispier end-product, I think.
I’ve been watching the British Baking Show and bought one of Paul Hollywood’s books. The plan was to make every recipe in there, all by hand. I lost interest at the second one. Maybe I’ll give that another shot.
I love watching the GBBO, but I’m not sure I could make anything on there.
Oh. And if you collect fun cookbooks. The Snoop Dogg one is legit.
I love the GBBO too! Paul’s eyes are soooooooooo blue!
No way! I have the one by Coolio. He said to buy it at a concert I went to.
He’s my favorite on there.
Yeast shelf at my store today:
Cat food shelves today:
I think everyone stopped baking bread and adopted cats instead.
Cat food is stupid hard to find. I’ve been using Chewy and even then it’s sold out a lot.
And no one can reach that top shelf.
Agreed. Also use the SAF Instant. Love it. Allowing the yeast to foam for 10 minutes with Water and Sugar, before adding Oil, Flour & Salt has come out the best for me so far.
