Deep Impressions

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright–
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.

The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done–
“It’s very rude of him,” she said,
“To come and spoil the fun!”

The sea was wet as wet could be,
The sands were dry as dry.
You could not see a cloud, because
No cloud was in the sky:
No birds were flying overhead–
There were no birds to fly.

(Walruses are almost whales, anyways, amirite?)

Restful. Meditative. Can probably be substituted for an aquarium full of fish if you’re in search of a calming effect.

Van Gogh meets whale.

Congrats, letterQ !

Love the tone of this one. Expected to sea it surface sooner or later.

ooohhh!! i am really liking the Van Gogh feel. Will have to sleep on this one.

Glad this one got the editors choice.

Why am i getting an eerie sense of dejavu?

Oh congrats to the artist! This was a nice shirt from the last derby. Peaceful.

letterq, I LOVE this piece! The flow, the colours… even the obvious boxiness of the piece is pleasing, and that’s hard to make that large of a negative into such a positive feature.

So happy this one made it. Thank you thank you!

Surely you mean …Deja Q?

Geddit? Because the artist is letterq …and… Oh nevermind. :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though - love the design - it’s totally genius.

Great one!

nice to see this print–congrats LetterQ!!

Somebody is smoking the good stuff!

But where’s the flowerpot? And the planet below? And the thought balloon for the whale?

Wait, uh, you mean this isn’t a geek pop culture reference? Weird…

Congratulations letterq, this is an amazing work!

This is indeed a very awesome shirt!

Really nice use of light, the most important part of that style. Great EC.

Congrats!
