[MOD: Configuration is different than we are selling.]

The one in that review is considerably better specced than this one. It has an i5, 8 GB RAM and a Radeon HD8730 discrete graphics. This has an i3, 6 GB and no discrete graphics (if the desc is right). This is a really weak machine for the cost and size, it’s like a mid range ultrabook in a 17" chassis.

[MOD: Agreed. I added a note to that post and removed the quality post. Thanks for the call out.]

Do not buy this laptop!

Got this from dell a few months ago. Speed-wise it is fine, however 1600 x 900 resolution on a 17.3 inch screen is absolutely horrible. You can see individual pixels even when sitting a few feet away from it. Had I known how poor this resolution is, I would have never purchased this

Resolution preference can be a personal judgement call. I use a laptop with that screen size and resolution on a daily basis for common tasks like editing documents, photo editing, streaming video, playing games, and general internet use from a distance of 1-2’ and I never notice individual pixels.
