I have one of these. The sound is a little quiet even with boosting options enabled and the 2nd gen i5 processor is becoming dated, but it’s still a solid machine (especially at this price)

I got one of these a few months ago and it has counterfeit windows on it. The support contact information is just an answering machine that is full.

lol.

I am provided one of these for work and it is a decent laptop. I get a lot of use with the HDMI out on my own time for streaming when Chromecast is acting up. Can handle most of your tasks except demanding gaming. You can definitely tell when the computer is working too hard since the temperature rises quickly and the fan goes into overdrive. Overall, pretty good deal at that price!

Yep - bought one for personal use. We have many of these in the office and have been a real workhorse. So if I need spare parts…

could not believe the price and hardware. Very good deal…

Wtf the % left just shot up like 11%.

You’ll never catch the craps doing that.

I saw that also lol

But how can that be?! It clearly says “Genuine Windows 7!” Are they being disingenuous by how genuine it really is?!

Seriously though, that is really weird, and your post is the only thing preventing me from buying this.

This config is a real sweet spot for me–14" screen, i5, etc. EXCEPT for the low screen res. Which is why I got a very similar Thinkpad at 1440x900. Not a fan of bigger/heavier/battery-guzzling low-res screens. But for under $300, this is a really capable general-purpose laptop. And I’d rather have Win7 than Win8…

I have a spare i7 processor; is it possible to replace the i5 included in this with my i7? I see there are variations of this computer that have the i7, but I am not sure if there will be compatibility/heat issues.

edit: for specificity; the i7 I have is i7-2630QM. Versions of this laptop ship with i7-4610M.

Looks like N and S Dakota are really into this laptop. I didn’t think anyone still bought Dell Lattitudes…

Did it just jump from 3% to 14%?

Availability jumped again, from 3% to 14%.

I think woot is screwing with me now, I swear it went from 4% to 14% just now

It sure did. Ugh.

It jumped 11& again!
