Mine also arrived today with only a DVD-ROM. The plastic casing on this laptop has been very well used. This has not been refurbished. I will be returning. I suggest you return it as it is not as described.

Refurbished means that worn or broken items have been repaired.

Specs say Super Multi DVD drive CD burner, but mine has DVD ROM. Wanted to be able to burn CD’s (old school, I know!) Any recourse?

Price of Dell RW drive is about $27. Wrote woot and they refunded me thirty bucks. Plus I have the original dvd drive.
