Dell Latitude 3340 Laptop

Dell Latitude 3340 Laptop

So…judging by the pictures…is it the black one or the silver one? Cuz they’re two different models.

Right?? I want to know which model it is as well.

This appears to be the originating Amazon listing.

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Latitude-3340-Laptop-Renewed/dp/B07WX1ZJ6W

Not sure where the picture of the silver version came from, but looks like this listing is for the black one. My guess is a newer version with the same model number now comes in silver.

So the originating listing linked above says it has a 500GB HDD, but the title and specs on the sale page says it’s a 500GB SSD. Can Woot confirm which one it is please?

Last picture is a totally different laptop based on hinge design among other things. It should be removed.

You are correct

Done!

So this is not actually a touchscreen device, though the post title indicates that it is.

Very suspicious. So many mistakes in this listing.

1080p? I highly doubt.

Connections lists type c but clearly no type c in pics.

Pics have rj45 but aren’t listed in specs.

Amazon listing says hdd but woot changed it to ssd….?

Also, here’s a review of this model with the actual specs minus the processor which is an i5.

Woot should pause this sale till they straighten this out.

This should be part of the “mystery laptop” sale

If not as advertised upon receiving unit, I expect ample accommodation for mis-representation!!!

Almost looks like it might really be this one:
dell-latitude-13-education-series-3340

In which case, it’d be 1366x768 touchscreen, i3-4005U at 1.7 GHz, 4GB RAM, and a 500 GB spinny disk. USB 3 ports (not type C), RJ45 port, HDMI + DP mini.

The information provided directly from the vendor states: Dell Latitude 3340 | Intel® Core i3-4005 CPU, 1.70 GHz, 13.3", 4GB RAM, 500GB SSD, TouchScreen. They also got a preview of the listing and confirmed it looked good. I have reached out to the vendor with everyone’s questions to double check, but its a Saturday so I have not heard back yet.

PC Magazine review of possible item: Dell Latitude 13 Education Series (3340) Review | PCMag

Per “Crucial”, DDR3L RAM can be upgraded to 16 Gb (8Gb x 2 slots). Yes, it does have a touchscreen! It’s NOT a candidate for a Windows 11 upgrade. Dell considers this model “EOL”.

BTW, the Mothership is currently offering 16Gb RAM (2x8 Gb DDR3L RAM) at $15.99!
It works great, but do confirm that your PC will accept these specs.

This looks all too good for the price; I’m curious if those who ordered it can write a follow-up to see if it is indeed a 1080p touch-screen (with a working battery)

Per PC Magazine review I referenced: “Basic 1,366-by-768 resolution.”

That, instead of FHD, would indeed be a bummer. There are billions of 1366x768 laptops around for change back from your dollar.

Dell doesn’t make it easy since they have so many different laptops with different specs called “3340”. For example, https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/latitude-3340-laptop/delllatitude_3340_om/technical-specifications?guid=guid-19e53dcf-273d-40cf-b943-e5c4cbc0e60e&lang=en-us

Did they preview the part that said it has usb type c? Cause the pictures clearly show it does not have usb type c. And the pics show rj35 which they did not list in the description. If they got those wrong they could have gotten… well…. everything else wrong too.
