Can this be upgraded to Windows 11?
No. CPU is from 2015
I manually updated to windows 11 on an unsupported 7th gen i3 laptop about 18 months ago and it hasn’t given me any issues since then. Updates have run without issue and all features work fine. I am also well aware that one day I could get a nasty message from my os telling me that I’ve bypassed their system checks and my computer they are going to brick my device. I doubt that happens but it’s a possibility. Most likely if I get a message from my os it will be that my computer doesn’t support Windows 11 and will no longer receive updates and support from Microsoft. I would think a 6th gen would probably work as well, but I don’t have one to test it on. There is lots of documentation on how you can bypass the win 11 processor check when using upgrade assistant.
Here’s a link to a pretty good guide. I don’t remember if I used Rufus or editted the registry. I make no promises or guarantees that it will work for you just sharing personal experience.
