Does anyone know how many drive bays this has, as in can I add my existing large storage drive to this box? Thanks!

I answered my own question - either two 2.5" drives or one 3.5" drive.

Expansion Slots & Bays:

(1) 5.25" External Drive Bay
(1) 3.5" Internal Drive Bay

The 5.25 is not vacant–it’s got the optical drive. So there’s just the one SATA bay (and I assume one SATA header to support it). However he could swap out the DVD with the large storage drive & go with external DVD for as often as they’re necessary.

Can we confirm it’s a SATA III (6gb/s) interface, and can we assume that either hard disk option would be SATA III, not II?

Specs reflect total slots and bays. They’re all occupied in this model.
