If you want a bullet proof desktop PC for general Internet/Microsoft Office/streaming content, a business grade Optiplex off-lease PC is a great option.
They simply don’t die. And if a component fails, they’re easy to work on.
Since these apparently come from Dell, they have an amazing 3-year Dell warranty. But you’re paying for that warranty in these premium prices. (Vs. the rest of the off-lease PC market.)
A 90-day, but preferably a 1-year warranty is sufficient for an Optiplex off-lease PC. If they make it thru that period, they won’t likely die until you grow tired of them.
A note - the off-lease PC market has shifted to installing SSDs instead of the old fashioned mechanical hard drives contained in these PCs. An SSD is a no-brainer way to make any PC, especially an off-lease PC run snappier.
